Co-founder, mob.md
Andrei Spatari sells solid wood beds and mattresses in Chisinau, and he is unusual in his trade for treating delivery and assembly as part of the product rather than as separate lines on the invoice. He co-founded the retail side of mob.md in 2014, on top of a company registered four years earlier, and now runs two showrooms in the city.
His sharpest lesson came from returns. While his shop sold locally made mattresses under the same model names as every competitor, buyers found the identical product cheaper online and sent it back. He changed the label rather than the price: same factory, his own names, his own brand. The returns stopped and the shop ended up with a product line of its own.
